Privacy Policy

Who we are

apocalypsereview.com (AR) is one component of a political satire eco-system which includes surrealclearpolitics.com, opacityinternational.org, americansforplutocracy.org, theshill.us and others.

Our business model

The AR is a loose group of satirists and visual artists whose works are sold and/or promoted on this site.  Because our business model does not involve profiting from the invasion of our readers’ privacy, very little information about our users is collected.

Does AR collect personal data?

No. The site does not collect personal information at all (with the exception of what you may provide us via our Contact form), but does store the IP addresses of machines which access the site. This information is anonymous and used for only two purposes, load balancing and blocking hackers.

Contact Information

For users who register on our website in order to comment or receive RSS feeds, we also store user name and an email address. You are encouraged to use a “public facing” email address for this process. All users can see, edit, or delete their contact information at any time. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Comments

We have disabled comments on the site because spam has made this feature unusable.

Contact

The AR can be contacted via the email address editor@apocalypsereview.com.

Embedded content

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

We share what little data we have (server logs) with no one, unless compelled to do so for legal reasons (e.g. hack attempts).

How long do we retain your data?

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. Currently comments are disabled.

What rights you have over your data?

If you have an account on this site – which would only happen if you are a contributor or editor – you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
